April 17- Back to Alaska
Well, it was a long journey home at 46 hours, but I eventually arrived in Anchorage at 1 AM on Sunday, April 13. On arrival, I shuttled to my car, checked into a hotel, and grabbed a few hours sleep before heading for home.
Thanks to your support, 2025 marked another successful Vietnam humanitarian program. We distributed 1,500 chickens and feed to 30 families in two villages on the outskirts of Hue.
368 students at Nhi Ha school received 5 writing tablets each for a total of 1,840 tablets.
Nhi Ha kindergarten was given 2 large-screen TVs and 2 computers to serve as classroom aids.
And this year we initiated a goat program. In Hong Ha and A 'Luoi we distributed 30 female goats, 15 at each village.
Khanh, Chairman of Hearts For Hue, coordinated our effort in the Hue/Hong Ha/A 'Luoi area. And Nhung of D.O.V.E Fund facilitated our work at Nhi Ha. Both are instrumental in the success of our program.

Thanks to Khanh, I was able to visit and provide assistance to my 196th Light Infantry Brigade comrade, Thua. It's always great to see him and his family.
Khanh and I also made a point to visit my long-time "regulars", who we have helped from the start. You'll recognize these folks.
And this man will always make your day! It's Khanh's father-in-law, Hudaman!!!
Thanks again for your support, folks, as it is your caring that makes it all happen. It can't be overstated how significant our assistance is to these impoverished families and school children. They're all so appreciative of everything that we do. We're helping, healing, and building bridges. And, remember, it was Son who started it all. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to visit the graves of Son and her mother, Lady The, on this trip. I'll get there next year, though.
THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!!!! NEIL

Neil, you were a valiant warrior with the 196th Light Infantry Brigade on your first “visit” to Vietnam. Now you are a great humanitarian to poorer people in need who live in the areas you fought in. Well done, my friend.

Great job Neil. Great to see a number of Vietnam Veterans help the less fortunate in Vietnam. Making a Big Difference.
